Here are two samples of floor decorating executed on a painted hardwood floor. One is an interior corner and the other an exterior corner as shown by the floor slab of a fireplace. Floor decorating can also be executed on a natural hardwood floor with one or more complimentary stains. The design can be simple and just contour the perimeter of the room as in the present samples or more complex and involve an elaborate layout on a large floor surface.
